MEMBERSHIP
We have several classes of memberships
available with the FSC of Augusta. By joining, you also
become a member in USFSA and you will receive the USFSA
Magazine, Skating. In addition, as a full member,
you are eligible for testing and competitions.
Below you will find a breakdown of the
various membership classes and levels available.
2011-12 MEMBERSHIP DESCRIPTIONS
Full Skating Membership ($125.00): Full skating members have privileges including membership in USFS and participation in all Club activities, including testing with assistance for an out of town test session, competitions, discounts on club related items/services, periodic freestyle ice session card, ice shows, voting*; eligibility for service as member of the FSCA Board*, and eligibility for appointment as a representative to the USFS Governing Council*. Full members receive a magazine subscription to SKATING magazine through their USFS membership
Second Family Skater ($65.00):
Second family members have the same privileges as the first family skating member including membership in USFS. Example, if the first family member has a full skating membership, the second skater is also a full skating member. There is only one SKATING magazine subscription per household.
Subsequent Family Skater ($35.00): Subsequent family members have the same privileges as the first and second family skater including membership in USFS. Example is the first family member has a club link membership the subsequent and second family skater are also club link members.
Club-Link Skating Membership ($65.00): Club link members are at the USFS No Test level or lower. No USFS tests are allowed with this membership level. Competitions at the NO TEST level are allowed. This membership includes a FSC of Augusta membership, USFS membership, social activities, ice shows, and exhibitions. Members receive a subscription to SKATING magazine only during the first year of membership at this level.
Collegiate Membership ($85.00):
A four-year full membership at a reduced rate for college-aged members. Carries the same privileges as a full member, including a subscription to SKATING magazine, and all testing and competition rights. Can sign up any time in college; good for a consecutive four-year period. May only use this option once
Social Membership ($50.00): This membership allows member to participate in all non-skating activities. Social members are eligible for voting*; for service as member of the Board*, to hold an executive office*, and for appointment as a representative to the USFS Governing Council*. Social members are not registered through USFSA and will not receive a subscription to SKATING magazine.
Judge/Coach/Professional
($50.00): This membership allows USFS and FSC of Augusta membership to all USFS judges, coaches and officials. Judges must have a USFS appointment. Coaches must be members of the PSA. Coaches are voting members of the club* and are eligible for service as member of the Board*, but they may not hold an executive office. A subscription to SKATING magazine is included.
Coach/Full Member Privileges
($90.00):This full skating membership is for those USFS coaches who are active in coaching and are members of the PSA. At this membership level Coaches have the same privileges as full skating members and are eligible for service as member of the Board*, but they may not hold an executive office.
Associate Membership ($35.00): This membership is available to anyone whose home club is other than the Figure Skating Club of Augusta and is already a member of USFS. This membership includes participation in club activities but excludes voting privileges.
*Must have attained the age of 18 years as of July 1 of the current membership year.
Discounts: FSC Officers receive a $25 credit toward membership. FSC Officers receive discount only if they serve their term and follow conditions as described in club by-laws.
